Research Interest:

There are two research areas in our group. 1) Molecular breeding to improve Green Super Rice: The objective is discovery and evaluate elite genes, such as blast resistance genes, brown plant hopper resistance genes, grain quality genes etc, to improve hybrid rice for its resistance, quality and yield. 2) Functional genomics for grain quality: The objective is QTL mapping, map-based cloning and its functional analysis for grain quality in rice.
